| Project Type: Digital CD-ROM Catalog & Kiosk Client: Vedco Project Description: CD-ROM based product catalog & kiosk with one click links to product reference sheets & marketing materials. Background: Vedco is a multimillion dollar Animal Heath Distributor that markets through its network of members hundreds of Animal Health Products. Vedco's large printed catalog contains photos and product information sheets on all Vedco products. Project Goals: (1) Create a digital product catalog complete with product photos, descriptions contained in the client's printed catalog; (2) Link all a product's related marketing information to the product. (3) Place all the Vedco power point presentations, product videos, company brochures and magazine advertisements on the CD; (4) Create a cross-reference of generic products to allow for the quick location of Vedco products; (5) Search for products by keyword, cross-reference, alpha-letter or manufacturer. TooBaRoo's Solution: TooBaRoo, created a relational database system using FileMaker Pro and a custom user interface using PhotoShop and Illustrator. The integrated database system was bound to a runtime version using FileMaker Pro SDK 4.0. Digital Catalog also doubles as a kiosk station allowing convention users to quickly locate information on all Vedco's products. |
